Our Story
After a typical pregnancy and delivery, we found out our son, Lucas John (LJ), had a rare genetic condition. So rare, there are only 500 people living with it, worldwide. Non ketotic hyperglycinemia (NKH), is a debilitating condition, causing seizures, severe developmental delays, and in many instances, loss of life.
NKH is considered an "orphaned disease", this means any and all research on the condition is funded solely by the parents and families affected by it. In Lucas' three years of life, we've made it our goal to spread awareness about NKH and of course, raise money for the cure.
LJ Avenue is our latest venture in fundraising. We will be donating the proceeds from these incredible bags to the Lucas John Foundation. All money donated from LJ Avenue, wilI directly benefit money for NKH research.
